each meet or you will not be entered into any individual events or relays.
Raffle Tickets and Money:
The raffle tickets and money should be turned in to the Claire Meyer folder in the bins at practice.
Please note the Claire Meyer folder is in the bin with the coach's folders and not the bins with the other
swim family folders. Money and tickets are due by the Psych Party and the drawings will be held
during the season-ending family fun meet.
Stingrays Fresh Fruit Salad:
We sell fresh fruit salad at the concession stand during home meets. Each family is asked to provide
a sandwich-sized ziplock bag of fruit already washed and cut up for use in the salad.

Attention Parents! We need timers and officials for all events!
Thanks to all of you who attended officials training on July 6th. We had a very good turnout.
Each family is required to time at least 1 meet during the season. We also need officials for all events.
No experience is necessary. Follow the links for more information: Timers Officials

Landen Stingrays Swim Team
The Landen Stingrays is a summer swim team open to all children ages 5 to 18. Every swimmer
must be 5 years old by June 1, 2011 and already know how to swim. You must be able to swim 1
length of the pool (25 meters) without assistance, without hanging onto the lane lines and without
touching the bottom.
Our home pool is the Woodfield subdivision pool at 8873 Creekwood Lane. All home swim meets as
well as all practices are held at this pool. <MAP>
Practices are held every weekday morning (Monday through Friday), beginning Tuesday June 7th.
Our first meet is Thursday June 9th. Meets are generally held on Tuesday evenings through June
and the early part of July. There are a few opportunities for invitational events. These events occur on
the weekend. The season builds to an exciting conclusion as swimmers compete in the Tri-County
Swim League Championships held annually at Miami University in Oxford, Ohio. The 2011
Championship event is scheduled for July 22-23.
Family Commitments
Each family is required to serve on a committee during the season. In order for meets to run
smoothly we need everyone’s help. A description of committees is available on the Parents page.
We additionally need all families to sign up to be a timer at least once during the summer. This
is in addition to regular committee requirements. It takes 18 to 24 timers to run 1 meet. If you just
love being a timer, consider serving on the Timing Committee and you will be able to be a timer at
several meets during the summer. All families are required to participate in team fund raising.
These funds allow us to purchase needed equipment and supplies each year. More information on
fund raising is available in the registration packet.
